RAID levels are standards, and as such the replacement of the card should not matter one iota as long as they provide support for that RAID level. Myke's argument could just as easily follow "Why have a monitor? A continuous feed printer works just as well and then you don't have a chance at a failing monitor!". FWIW, I have -never- had a failed hardware RAID card. KS
