I'm going to have to go with a rack mount system of swapping out Linux and Windows. I found that Sailor's online poker games aren't supported in anything but M$. Lab_rat, who is stressing badly herself, kindly offered to test whether or not they would work in Linux if I sent her the URLs. PenguinPete is getting me the removable tray and bay dealie.
Yesterday, we were talking about my impending switchover and Sailor overheard me referring to him as "GUI Boy". PenguinPete and I cracked ourselves up over that. Sailor also told us that he didn't understand half of what we were saying. We explained that we were speaking Geek and cracked up over that (we're so easily amused).
Anyway, I'm hoping to have the whole thing up and running by Christmas. Whoopee! I get to start a new year fresh and clean with a new, stable OS. I also consider myself the luckiest geek in New Orleans in that I have three wonderful sources of Linux help: ideur, PenguinPete and lab_rat. |
