... that's it, the trash is the uninstaler, some software even start some uninstallation procedures when you do that, or maybe is the system that does it, I don't know, I just know that MacOS is as simple as that, if you want to get rid of something just throw it away! A uninstall option it's just a bad habbit some of us got from other OS's, it doesn't make sense to have a trash can if it don't fit that purpose for everything in the system (software, files, mounted filesystems, etc...)
