I just spent 2 hours reviewing some ancient code...
I've only got one question for our field technician:
"Did you ever consider just disconnecting the secondary remote select?"

Heh.

Equipment down for >1 week because somebody forgot to ask the programmer: "Hey! Can we *DO* this?"
Then tells the programmer after 7 days: "You have to make some code changes".
Followed by: "But I don't know how the equipment works."

*sigh*

With field technicians like that... I may as well be on a hell desk.
