Meeting someone special by HeyRef 2004-12-15 07:39:11
Karen and I graduated from high school together back in 1978. We took many of the same classes, but back then we didn't date or hang out together.

Flash forward to last November. We met again at our 25 year class reunion. The reunion was a three-day event (mixer/banquet/breakfast) and the two of us managed to find a seat next to each other each time. Shortly afterwards, I found a Christmas card in my mailbox from her. Shortly after that, we began exchanging e-mail messages and have been corresponding ever since.

Tomorrow morning, I'll be flying back to Pittsburgh to spend four days with Karen. I've got such a mix of feelings spinning around in me right now. I'm ready to try to build a long-term relationship, but the time and physical distance between us seems daunting. I am trying to keep a level head and not expect too much. Part of me inside is yelling, "Yeah, Buddy! This is IT!"

So if you have any extra good vibes lying around, send them my way. I can use them. TIA.
