Went to work to get my check, as per usual this afternoon, and found out that checks wouldn't be handed out until tomorrow or the next day. Well, one of our co-workers got real mad. She's a single mother with no food and two diapers to her name, and she needed the cash. She yelled at the future owner for half an hour, and said she wouldn't come to work until she got her cheque. So the boss comes in at 8:30 (two hours ago), and says she's looking for our co-worker single mom.
We can get out cheques! But Money Mart closes in 25 minutes! We run to work. Then I run as fast as I can to discover that Money Mart is closed. Now I'm at home. |
