Here they have assistants as well as technologists. Depending on the lab the assistance grab the samples and process patients. Then only the technologists do the lab work. Though I think some assistants also do put samples in the centrafuge they don't do much more than that. I found out the two big labs where I am are filled with assistants. All the samples get sent off to central labs(found in two cities here) then the techs do their work on them there. I'm actually aiming for that line later. I know the hospital techs have to draw blood and stuff(I'll have to do it for my course as well). But I perfer just the working on machines and stuff. So far I'm looking at later taking the forensics course. But I might take cytogenics or something instead. It depends on at the time what I feel most suits me.(and at the time will be 2-3 yrs of work after completing my courses which will be done in 4.5 yrs from now)
