the command to reapply would be the same but without the "/u".
Regsvr32.exe handles registering and unregistering DLLs, which basically means it calls a function in the DLL telling it to register or unregister itself. What's involved in that process varies from one DLL to the next, but generally it involves creating a few registry keys so other apps which may want to use that DLL know where to find it and what it provides. The /u option is to unregister.
While I have no experience with this particular DLL, the expected result of the command you posted would be to effectively remove the functionality of that DLL from the system, without actually removing the file. Thus, by re-registering it later, you would restore that functionality. |
