&#@%^%(!#%ing Windows XP by nix 2004-12-14 16:33:47
I booted XP last night, for the first time in months, to play video games. And what did it do? Once again, it re-created those annoying "My Music" and "My Pictures" directories that I keep deleting. Not only that, it created some files in them that Linux refuses to delete, unless I delete them as root. Anyone know why this might be? Does Linux pay any attention to the FAT read-only and hidden bits? If so, how can I change them? (mattrib only seems to work for files on floppies).

And how can I get XP to stop creating those directories?
