wrong police videos and not enough of the ones where things have gone bad.

Asking to the the gun can in no way be seen as an aggressive response. 90% of the time, assuming a hidden gun, the response from the robber would be to unzip his jacket to show the gun still tucked in his belt.

If he chooses not to show it, then procede has if he is armed. If he now runs out because his bluff has been called, so much the better.
