And it costs dearly. You can get 7.1 receivers, but you've generally got to go high-end, like Denon or harmon/kardon. The cheapest I've ever seen is a $600 Kenwood, and given how few movies are available with true 7.1 mixing, the benefits of it are mostly limited to showing off.
