Not the DOS prompt, but it really is the easiest way to dupe disks.

I've never tried it on anything but floppies, but I suppose DISKCOPY might work too.... try
DISKCOPY source_drive_letter: destination_drive_letter: /V

Otherwise, XCOPY with /E/K/I/C switches should copy the whole shooting match.

i.e. xcopy source_drive_letter:\*.* destination_drive_letter: /e /k /i /c
