Problem with using the bible	by hyzenthlay	2004-12-14 11:15:18
is that most of the passages dealing with homosexuality also deal with several other sins. If he was reading an entire passage, probably no problem. If he was picking out bits of text to suit his message, problem. IIRC the parts of the bible that deal with it are pretty violent and hateful (not just toward homosexuality.) That would have to sound like hate speech, and I am not sure if you could protect hate speech with religion.
