Linear projections don't tolerate uneven latencies very well. I like to use a mean taken with outliers dropped, for my projec- tions--it tends to be more stable. If that's too expensive, I'll fall back on some closed-loop techniques, and treat it like a predictor-corrector control-system problem. -- HadEnuf?
