Is the intent of the murderer salient? After all, if I kill a man by accident (say, in an automobile accident), does that render my victim any less dead? There's every likelihood that I could repeat this crime; indeed, even more of a likelihood, as motor vehicle accidents are a fairly common event in most mechanized societies. |
