The rights of the majority to be safe and secure while comporting themselves within the confines of the law, versus the right of the individual to personal freedom.

It is an unfortunate truth that our laws and our societies are not sufficiently evolved to accomodate both sets of freedoms without conflict.

At least emprisonment can be reversed when we discover a mistake has been made. Tried reanimating a corpse lately? Freedom can be restored. Life, however . . .
