Dangers of unattended christmas lights? by glitch2004-12-14 07:17:16
Any unattended electrical device is a hazard by Cokish 2004-12-14 07:23:31
If it doesn't have a fuse, shortcuts meens fire.
Light bulbs have a wire inside them which 'burn'.

If you ever seen a light bulb 'snap' you must have seen
the sparcs inside the bulb.

It is a matter of statistics. The more lights the longer they burn, the earlier they 'snap' and produce sparcs.

The standby mode of televisions sets are a good example.
Never read the stories of TVs in standbey mode burning houses down ?
