Gah! Creepy, creepy, creepy dream! :-( by hadji 2004-12-14 06:11:37
I was working on putting these screws into a wall in a specific pattern. Some were not in perfectly straight. They went into the wall at a bit of an angle, which made me wonder if the things I was supposed to snap/hang/mount on these things would fit properly. When the pattern was complete, I was supposed to mount . . . something . . . on these screws that would create an immensely powerful planetary intelligence. Not sure if it was artificial or not, but I think it was. But this thing had power to the point of being able to create an earthquake anywhere, of any magnitude, at a whim. Windstorms as well. Rain storms. Anything.

Then one of my friends (RL friend, not just in the dream) was automatic writing in her sleep - incomprehensible mathematical equations. The handwriting was in a flawless sort of italic or script or something. One of the documents started with "According to Ephesians, Star Time = [page long equation]" The elements in the equations were mostly strings of letters with numeric exponents with mathematical operators spread out here and there.

There was also a piece of art that she had drawn that was a futuristic setting. It had an old, decaying space ship on the outskirts of a space colony, and the ship had a HUGE American flag on some sort of mast, like it was a conventional sailing ship. The length of the flag was about equal to the length of the ship, and the flag was proportionately tall. But it was old, tattered, and still (hanging down instead of waving in the wind).

At one point, I was watching her write the equations. She was sitting up, writing. Immediately after she had finished writing whatever she was writing, she went instantly limp. A few seconds after, she woke up. I told her I was very worried about her, as channeling other spirits is not something to be trifled with, even if she wasn't doing it intentionally.

We ended up in some sort of cafeteria like setting. I was asking her if she knew what the equations meant, and she did not. But whatever she was channeling started speaking through her when she was awake as well. And this thing was creepy.

I asked it what it's name was. And after a short pause, three seconds maybe, as if considering what to answer so as not to give me it's real name, it answered with, Esmond.

One thing it was saying is that humans are foolish about dieting. "If you want to diet," it said, "You should cut off your right hand." Then it looked at me and asked, "Do you know why?"

That's about when I woke up. And almost immediately after I woke up, I realized Esmond is an anagram for demons.
