It was acting like the connection was cutting out. ... are you guys suggesting it may be a DNS issue rather than a connection issue? I need to remind myself how to configure my hosts files... it's been ages since I've done that. I'm on both a Mac (OS9) and a PC laptop (WinXP SP2) in case anyone wants to help remind me... :)
