It's an apology you should always be able to make honestly. You don't have to feel sorry about how you feel about the issue before you sit down and talk it over. That makes it much easier to break the ice and start a rational discussion, and it makes it easier to make a sincere apology. Try starting with:

"I'm really sorry we got into an arguement over <issue>. I'd really like to sit down with you and listen to how you feel about it and see if we can reach some common ground and see eye to eye."

Listen to what your SO has to say. If something came out during the loud arguement that needed to come out, she'll probably be much more comfortable bringing it up again once it's out. Listen carefully, and if something did come out while you were arguing that she doesn't bring up, try raising the issue gently by asking about it politely.
