Logging question: by MrTrick2004-12-12 18:40:02
Do you need a library for that? by ToLazyToThink2004-12-12 19:26:40
    Okay... by MrTrick 2004-12-12 19:38:52
1. Human readable file, yes...
2. No. The project has multiple processes, but only one will be accessing the logging functionality.
3. (Went and talked to co-irker) Not that efficient, only has to be able to retrieve 'last N', filter on type, filter on datestamp.

I considered a database thingy to handle writing to a file, and retreive the data from it, but I'd prefer the functionality was part of the program itself, rather than needing an external database program to accomplish it.
