Tools > Folder Options

General tab - Use Windows Classic Folders

View tab - Display Contents of System Folders is checked
- Hide Protected Operating System Files (recommended) is unchecked

I *think* that's all I had to change to get rid of that stupid thing. I believe I also have 'folder tasks' turned off, wherever that is.
