yay, trojan and spyware and more, oh my. by ts003 2004-12-12 04:43:08
Meh. The disadvantage of having a luser who doesn't want to learn as your dad is the amount of bad stuff that piles up to every blue moon when i go have a look at his computer.
Apparently, the antivirus was out of date, so i installed AVG. It's found three trojans so far. Ran Ad-Aware + Spybot and got too many results, updated Spywareblaster.
Why do some people not listen to what you tell them... Blah.

Must find some way of making him switch to Firefox.
Preferably also start using something other than Outlook, just for the hell of it..

Is Thunderbird any good vs Outlook 2003? I've avoided Outlook almost as much as Frontpage (*shudders*) for the past five years, so I really have no idea.. I don't use any email clients.

Are there any other things that one should stick in the computer of people who use it mainly to write letters, read news, watch/listen to newsbroadcasts and surf?
Hm.. My little brother uses my dad's computer too though, he keeps installing lots of games on it. clutter, clutter, clutter.
