are people always doing something ? by dennismv 2004-12-12 03:45:36
people seem to be always doing something ..
I wonder, will they ever stop, and what will happen if they stop.

For example, you probably have a set of things you'd like to do. Those may be fun things, vacations, trying out different careers, just relaxing, etc, most of them are "doing something".

Suppose you get enough free time to do things you've always wanted to do but didn't really have time, or didn't make time for.

Suppose you eventually do all these things. It may take you years, but eventually you will be done with the things you originally wanted to do.

What's next ? Will you come up with more things to do, while you were doing the things you originally wanted to. Will you continue like so forever ?

Suppose you are given an infinite amount of time to keep doing things in case new things keep coming up. Suppose you are also given an infinite lifespan.
Will you ever stop doing things, and if so, what does stopping mean ?
