The things I miss are (some are fixed in 1.5^H^H^H5.0).

Structs
Enums
Const (since when should mutable/immutable be a property of the class?)
Destructors
Operator Overloading
Templates
Native executables
Non-virtual-by-default class functions
Pass-by-reference on value types

When Java fixes *all* of them (with the possible exceptions of destructors and native executables), I'll consider it a real language. Plus it needs some serious fixes in efficiency (although 1.5 is supposed to be faster, I've heard).
