who you know that leads to success. If you go to Podunk University, the chances of knowing anyone of great consequence will be lower than if you went to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc. Students who graduate from Ivy League schools tend to have better connections when they go out into the business world. Some of them are even mediocre in their professions, but they get the breaks whereas a star at Podunk University has to be a hell of a lot luckier and work a hell of a lot harder.
