My roommate just received a parcel from China. Bear in mind that we're in Canada. He opened it only to discover that it had already been opened and re-sealed, and had a big sticker on it saying "Inspected by US Customs". Why is US customs inspecting mail from China to Canada? And why did it pass through the US in the first place?
