About Fantasy books by Winsmith2004-12-06 10:14:32
  Robert A. Heinlein by tskelton 2004-12-06 18:55:36
The earlier in his career, the better. He went downhill after Stranger in a Strange Land, and the last couple of books, such as I Will Write No Book ... um, I mean ...Fear No Evil were awful. The early stuff, 1940 thru 1960, say, is some of the best and most definitive Science Fiction ever written. The planets are in their correct courses, rocket ships obey the laws of orbital mechanics, and people behave like people, not wooden automatons.
