I said it is more likely to trip false alarms during the day. My grandma was robbed during the day while she was at her home in the back yard. This happened more than once. But it was also a know theft pattern in her neighbourhood at the time. In the other cases the neighbourhoods were family neighbourhoods with low crime rates. Usually it was things like another vehicle passing the car that set off it's alarm.(it took awhile to tweak that one just right) As for the house it was how much time to get to the alarm that sometimes tripped it(with groceries or little ones they couldn't get to the pad in time so it went off). I have an alarm at my house. I am bugged when the roommate or his dad forget to turn off the alarm them go into a sensored area. But also bugged when they are dumb by having the alarm off and left the door wide open and came in the house for like 5-30 min. Umm yea thats asking for theft and they've had stuff ripped off in past doing that which is part of why there is an alarm. sigh Btw my roommate has guns but his first response to the alarm going off is not a gun. It's to go check what might of set it off. If he see's someone he doesn't know then his response is to get his gun and mine is to get the phone. We also had an intruder in the house at least once which my roommate tried to brush off. I was mad at him for not locking the door when he left knowing I had been up here alone. I didn't know who it was and thought it him at first. I nearly ended up calling the cops scared to all heck ... but the person left without me getting a good look at them and once out I locked the house and gave my roommate hell on his return.
