Wireless router and linux with dhcp question by celticess2004-12-06 12:12:37
  Disable dhcp on the router 1st by drummergeek 2004-12-06 12:18:47
After that change the scopes on your DHCP servers, after that you shouldn't have a problem. I have basically the same setup at my apartment:

My Desktop -> 10/100 Switch -> Router -> Cable Modem

My Domian Controller -> 10/100 Switch -> Router -> Cable Modem

My DHCP Server -> 10/100 Switch -> Router -> Cable Modem

My Laptop -> WAP -> 10/100 Switch -> Router -> Cable Modem

Roommates Laptop -> WAP -> 10/100 Switch -> Router -> Cable Modem

I dont have any problems.

P.S. Use WPA_PSK for your security and edit the MAC filter list to allow only the computers on your network for the wireless. Your Key should be 8 characters long and contain at least 1 Capital, lowercase, number, and symbol.
