While reading a quite standard news story about the secularization of Christmas, I followed a link back to a story from March about a Muslim woman who was denied a job at a pre-school in Italy because her headscarf might frighten the children. I'm not trying to stir up the Hijab Issue, because I don't see that as a Canadian raised Catholic I'm qualified to make an intelligent contribution to the debate. I'd just like to point out that my kindergarten teacher was a veiled nun.
