...is always a problem when you're sending in a flaming opinion bomb. All my best comments get clipped or are part of a War and Peace-length epic that I can't quite get trimmed down to 150 words. I've received calls and letters from people, most of whom want to gushingly tell me how much they liked what I wrote and how meaningful it was for me. One guy talked to me for a half hour, trying to get me to agree with him that my opinion somehow matched his rather bigoted and alarming interpretation of the Bible. One lady wrote me a profanity-laced letter, casting serious doubt on my parental and ancestral heritage. A lady from my church called congratulate me on yesterday's article and told me that she had clipped it and put it on our pastor's desk. For the record, I'm not quite sure which of my "fans" is worst: the ones who agree with me or the ones who don't. :)
