If it makes you feel safe or "prepared", AND you know how to use it, AND you are an exemplary responsible individual, AND you actively prevent your weapons from getting into the hands of the irresponsible and/or innocent and/or criminal and/or drunk and/or emotionally perturbed and/or <insert_other>, then fine. What I object to is the message that your TLP is hinting at: if you don't have a "Duty 870" and "a plan to repel boarders", you are a "Simpering Sissies, Insipid Idgits, and Mutant Morons". Of course, I have no idea what commercial you are refering to (a home-alarm system ?, a self-defence course ?, NRA propaganda ?, etc), so I can't comment further. |
