And with the understanding that when you say you want to leave, your ride takes you home? I've found that if you anticipate having a lousy time at a function, you probably will make sure you have a lousy time. Can you ensure that there is some activity that you would enjoy going on at the party? If the house is small, 30 people will be an awful crush. If the house is large, there may be places to escape to when some partygoers get too boisterous or annoying.
