The rooms belong to the people who live there. Reading doesn't work on trains and so won't in rooms. I can't go for a walk when I don't know where I am. It's not relaxing. Hiding in the kitchen or bathroom is not only impractical it wouldn't work, seeing as they're rooms that get used. Going to bed wouldn't help as I don't sleep in other people's houses, I just lie down and get annoyed.
