BBC Broadcasting DAB from the Moon... by foredeck 2004-12-06 02:36:47
No clicky -just deduction...

I noticed this morning that there seems to be some lag between my FM radio & the DAB set when receiving the BBC. The PIPs at 08:00 were a little over a second later on DAB which, quite apart from the difficulty of setting your watch right, suggests that the transmitter is further away.

Quite a *lot* further away!

Then I noticed that the Moon's orbit is ~1.3 light seconds from Earth...

Coincidence???
