Any stress-reducing tips? by random_c 2004-12-06 01:36:03
I don't deal well with being in groups of people, especially when it's groups of people I'm stuck with for example in trains or at parties at friends houses a long way from home. I get uptight and angry and tired and am generally not much fun to be with. Not much problem with trains, but it really screws up being with friends. I've decided I can't go to any gatherings I can't get home from in 2 hours on public transport on a sunday service, which means I'm pretty much limited to occasional pub gatherings within london.
I've been invited to a new year meet, but being in a house with about 30 other people in a remote (if you don't drive) part of wales, and with the trains not running most of the time, I can't see any way I can do that without getting horribly stressed, but I would like to see my friends. If I don't go there's a couple of other people won't go and I don't think it's fair to ruin their new year because I'm going to get uptight.
