| The way GWB selectively promotes the sciences is rather bizarre, don't you think? He seems to like astronautics, at least -- remember all that malarkey at the beginning of this year about another manned mission to the Moon?
I'd hate to be a researcher right now trying to get a governmental grant to study something that GWB doesn't believe in -- such as, it would appear, geology (unless, of course, you happen to strike oil)!
One wonders if it will ever occur to him that perhaps God might have used natural forces such as volcanic activity, continental drift, and/or wind/water erosion to create the Canyon....that this could be all the more reason to study these things. Nah -- of course not. That would make far too much sense... |
