People who drive slow in the fast lane by SnArL2004-10-22 08:55:58
120mph. Hmm. I have some experience at driving at by jedidiahstott 2004-10-22 14:55:05
high speeds (>100 mph). Personally I've got to say that anyone driving at a sustained 100+mph on an "open to all traffic" road is an idiot. (note : "sustained" note: "open to all traffic"). There are also *very* few vehicles that are qualified for regular sustained speeds of that order (yeah yeah, I know your hoon-mobile can do 150mph. "Qualified". "Sustained" etc )

There is just too much to go wrong, when it goes wrong it goes wrong very fast, and, unlike the track, you can't rely on other drivers to do the sensible thing . Nor should they be expected to - knowing how to handle that sort of speed is not a requirement anywhere for a driver's license.

But, I'd get out your way myself. Well out of your way, so I don't get tangled up in any wreckage.

That's assuming that a move to the (- ah think about this, they drive on the wrong side ) *right* (whew) is actually possible.

I do dislike people who tailgate in heavy traffic where every lane is full and there is nowhere to go. In that case I *will* , very gently and steadily , brake until I have opened a sufficent gap between me and the car ahead, to allow not only for my own reaction time and stopping distance , but also for your (assumed very slow and incompetant) reaction time/stopping distance.
