There was a course in college that studied quaternions for part of the semester, but I was never able to get into it (its prereqs hadn't been taken until it was my last semester there, and it wasn't offered that semester -- that's what I get for deciding to tack a math minor on near the end of my stay). I've been wondering what they were off and on (mostly off) ever since then. This post isn't really much help, is it...
