| Ok, I've asked for a rough estimate |

On the following:
* Tyan motherboard
- Perhaps the Thunder K8S Pro (S2882) (tower case only, 10/100E): http://www.tyan.com/products/html/thunderk8spro_spec.html
- or Thunder K8W (S2885) (tower case only, but comes with GbE: http://www.tyan.com/products/html/thunderk8w.html
* Dual Opteron CPUs
- Opteron's each have their own memory controller, useful for large amounts of RAM. Perhaps models 246 (2000Mhz) or 248 (2400Mhz)
* 16GB DDR RAM, PC3200
* 4x 10000rpm SATA drives in RAID 0+1
With either a tower case and the S2885 or a rack mount with the S2882.
Want to place bets on what his final estimate comes to? In Canadian dollars.
