swear by Tyan. I'd look at these. Opteron performance over xeon comes to light when you have $sillyamountsofram and dual processors, as each processor has its own memory controller. 64bitness is also a major plus, etc. etc. etc. have fun and you must post specs once it's done so we can all drool :)
