To point number one, I would have a hard time if someone did make the same comment about G.W. Bush. I don't subscribe to the eye for an eye tooth for a tooth style of revenge. I certianly don't agree with viliganteism.

While we may think it's amusing that's different from wishing death on someone. Remember "those people" are also total stangers to you, or in the case of UF, members of the same community.

That leads me to your third point, UFies are a member of this community, therefore they are more then mere strangers. Many of us care for this community and it's members, even the troublesome ones. For proof of the community feeling just look at how the hugs fly when someone is having problems. That said, whether it be stangers or it be ufies or friends, do you have the right to wish death on anyone?

In my eyes wishing death on someone is one (big) step below actually pulling the trigger.
