Another variety of "truth" possibly,

but not as a credible alternative to the findings of "conventional" science.

The Parks Service doesn't have any concern as to how carrying material on Native Legends will affect it's credibility or mis-inform the public or appear to favor (with implied state backing) one religion over all others.
