The M4 which travels east to west across the UK	by McGowan	2004-10-22 12:44:07
has several dedicated entrance and exit lanes at the ramps so when new cars join they are effectivly joining an empty lane and don't need to change pace and the lane becomes a normal inside lane. I don't think any motorways in the UK have more than 3 lanes but not sure.
