Does anyone know how to pleat an arisaid? by LeiraHoward 2004-10-22 12:40:48
I'm going in garb to the renaissance fair tomorrow, and I'm crazy enough to want to do it *right*. I have an arisaid (going as a scotswoman, obviously), but have no clue how to pleat it/wear it. If anyone could explain to me clearly, I'd appreciate it. My material is 60 inches by 2.5 yards.

(For those unaware, an arisaid (with various spellings) is the plaid cloak the scotswoman of the around 1600-ish era wore (I am sure I am incorrect in some details, sorry...))
