You're still gonna start out at level twig, and it's still gonna put you through zarking MILES of travel before you can get anything DONE... see, the thing about TES is the side quests take you miles out of your way. Deus Ex, the side quests consist of "wander round the corner and put the frighteners on the pimp". Also, you start off at least minimally able to deal with your enemies.
