You're not endangering anyone by slowing down -- it's those who are following you too closely that are to blame for that.
Were you to brake for a deer or moose, any resulting pile-up behind you is the fault of those who were clearly either driving too fast or following too closely.
It's ludicrous to place the responsibility on the person in front if they have no control over the actions of the cars behind them. |
