the time, How much traffic I mean or even how many lanes etc etc. The problem is some people do do 120, More often than not cops, ambulances and fire engines (erm top speed of a fire engine probably isn't 120)

Think of this situation instead of the one you put forward.

Car going say 80 in outside lane with motorbike a couple of meters back in the next lane. Car comes up at 120 and the first car breaks, causing a huge crash probably killing both drivers and maybe causing a pile up. The motorcyclist will probably be hit by something or burst a tyre but he is unlikely to survive too.

If she had continued at her 80 speed the car doing 120 would have reacted by slowing down, or a trained police driver would have.

Braking suddenly when someone is coming fast behind you is like speeding up when coming to a stop sign, plain dumb!
