sometimes people have a legitimet reason to be doing those speeds

Tell that to the motorcyclist. The human brain takes a certain amount of time to process information and changing lanes in time to allow for a moron who appeared on your tail all of a sudden because he's doing 120 doesn't allow you time to fully check the next lane for occupants.

It is clear from the TLP that the person in front reacted instead of responding, because they didn't have time to respond properly. We can only be glad they didn't react by changing lanes before they'd registered a bike one lane over.

And that the semis didn't react similarly of course. Reacting in fast moving traffic is universally bad and commonly caused by people driving at ludicrous speeds.
